We Will Ride

Advocacy film for Greater Boston Legal Services

About the film

In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of the bus sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott, one of the greatest and most successful mass movements against racial segregation in history. Over fifty years later, another civil rights movement still presses on, however this marginalized minority can’t even get on the bus. We Will Ride is a short advocacy film that tells the story of a community whose rights were continually ignored and violated. It chronicles the landmark class action suit, Daniels-Finegold Et Al v. MBTA, requiring the Massachusetts Transportation Authority to provide accessible and useable transportation services to people with disabilities.
